Scarabide

Scarabides are a race of beetle-like humanoids. They possess brightly colored (and extremely durable) exoskeletons that can withstand high caliber bullets. Unlike other insect species there is no rigid social hierarchy, no caste systems, or queens. Each Scarabide is an individual unto himself, so much so that they are inherently distrustful of all outsiders, even members of their own species.

  1. Actually, only ants, bees and termites have ever had that caste system, and scientists now know that even with an ant colony, every ant is a little unique and some even have rivalries :D

The Scarabid's design is awesome, a little beetle like and a little wasplike.
