The Grokish are free floating, space-borne, squid-like creatures. They exist for untold eons in a dormant, spore-form, as they transverse the spaces between the stars on the solar winds. When they come in contact with a compatible planetary atmosphere they will spawn by the millions, descend upon and consume the indigenous life forms, then enter the spore phase to begin the cycle anew.
