Merlangrothph

Merlangrothphs are a race of aquatic humanoids. They are highly intelligent, and have a complex and highly organized society. They prefer to remain segregated from surface dwellers whenever possible, but will occasionally engage in trade for metal goods.

Pandoran

Pandorans are a subrace of humanity. Eons ago a village of cro-magnons were forcibly abducted and relocated to another planet by as of yet unidentified aliens. They were used as manual labor for a few decades but eventually abandoned. As the cro-magnons adapted to life on this strange new planet they evolved in response to environmental pressures - low gravity, differing light spectrum, thinner atmosphere, etc . Pandorans today share 98% of their DNA with modern humans, but have evolved to the point where the two can no longer interbreed.

Pachuliwurm

Pachuliwurms are overlarge mutations made from human and several species of deep sea worm genes. The experiment began as a way of creating genetically engineered human beings capable of surviving in extremely harsh environments. the Pachuliwurms began as small larvae, but soon matured into 12 foot adults and quickly escaped from confinement. Several made their way into the sea, and have been found forming primitive communities around deep sea vents in the Pacific.

Goblin

Goblins were originally household spirits in European Pagan belief. "Goblins" went by many different names - Hob, hobgoblin, brownie, nixie, tomte, etc. Generally, such "faire folk" were helpful around the house unelss offended, by which they would then perform pranks and mischief. Such a belief in household spirits may have evolved from ancient ancestor worship.

Modern fantasy fiction has recreated the Goblin into a small, pig-like, gruntish humaniod of limited intelligence. Generally they tend to swarm by the thousands, are the antithisis of Dwarves, and tend to fall under the command of beings more powerful than themselves (wizards, demons, etc.)

Bottom Crawler

Mutated, degenerate, cave dwelling humanoids descended from the remnants of long forgotten neolithic tribes who were trapped in underground caves during the last ice age. The large bloodshot eyes are specifically adapted to seeing in low light, and also allow the creature to peer into the infrared. As the lower legs atrophied and disappeared the arms became used for locomotion. Under the chin the long facial feelers are used mostly to consume food, which consists of small rodents, mosses, lichens, lizards, and fish from underground rivers.
