The
Octosaurus Rex is the third attempt by the
Cristix corporation to enter the designer pet market. Hundreds of man-hours and hundreds of thousands of R&D dollars were spent in it's development. When it was finally unveiled there was immediate backlash from parent groups. No one seemed interested in purchasing what was obviously a dangerous animal as a pet. The few that were sold had a tendency to grow to out of control sizes - some 20 feet or more due to the dinosaur DNA. The
Cristix Corporation never recovered from this debacle, and today exists solely as an online distributor of
shovelware.
