Lava Tuber

Although they resemble plants, Lava Tubers are actually animals, similar to the worms that live near deep sea vents. They have developed a thick chitinous outer shell which allows them to exist immersed in liquid magma for short periods of time. The creatures feed by absorbing bacteria with their fleshy "leaves." Colonies of Lava Tubers usually attach themselves to the walls of volcanoes and only swim in the magma when they reach the adult stage.

Magma Dragons


Magma dragons are large bipedal dragons that live in molten magma. The creature's hide develops a thick, protective rock-like layer that allows it to survive in the harsh environment. Magma dragons tend to nest in the open calderas of volcanoes or in magma pools in deep caves.

Tephrents


A type of demon that lives in immersed in magma. The Tephrents exists in the vast layers of magma beneath it's native Hell dimension. The creatures in these realms can move through magma the same way a fish moves through water. Tephrents are generally isolationist, and will fiercely defend any incursion into their realms.

Helicalites are small bipedal creatures specially adapted to live in extremely hot environments. They have been known to withstand or even enjoy extreme temperatures of 500 °C or more. Due to this unique ability many Helicalites tend to find work as metalworkers, smelters, geothermal power plant operators, and so on.

A long lost tribe of silicon based, bipedal life forms. The Rock Men make their homes deep inside of caverns and inside of volcanoes. Their unique physiology allows them to swim in molten lava as if it were water.
