Onoclapus

The Onoclapus is a strange cephalopod offshoot which emerged from a deep sea ocean trench. Unlike most other squids or octopi, they tend to be social animals, and maintain a highly rigid social structure. Advanced behavior has been observed in onoclapus troops, such as the election of leaders, division of labor, and the farming of fish and kelp species for food.

Ganoid

Ganoids are bipedal creatures which evolved from sea-going, eel-like ancestors. They are still semi-aquatic, and are capable of respiration under water as well as on land. They have a ritualistic warrior culture, and there are often multiple conflicts occuring at once across the surface of their native planet.

Itchlodyte

Itchlodytes are primitive, proto-fish men which live in a small nomadic community along a deep pacific trench. They follow a large pod of whales and exploit them the same way that Native Americans followed herds of buffalo. This has brought them into open conflict with whaling vessels, who they view as destroying their way of life. Itchlodytes have been known to foul propellers, drill holes into ships, or board them and fight hand to hand in extreme cases.
