Scrcrabs

Scrcrabs are small, scuttling, pseudo-crustaceans. They live in large underground warrens dug into the beaches and hillsides of their native planet.They share a communal existence, free from crime, poverty, inequality, or other social ills which plague most other sentient species.

Groblish

Groblishes are small, airborne creatures. They use a from of psychic levitation to fly, their small wings are only used to steer. They inhabit large cities made up of large keeps and towers, designed for easy access for  flying creatures.

QuadKrab

QuadKrabs are large, multi-limbed entities descended from deep water crabs. They live in large communities seated in the walls of deep sea canyons and crevacies.

Facecrab

FaceCrabs are the latest innovation in what has become known as the "designer clone" industry. Enterprising individuals can pay exorbitant amounts of money to have their DNA spliced and recombined to give their bodies strange shapes.

Communities of "FaceCrabs" have started autonomous collectives in deep caves beneath the sea. They often find themselves on the receiving end of discrimination due to their chosen "lifestyle."

Crab Monkey

Crab Monkeys are strange mutations which began appearing after the first nuclear power plant was built in central Africa. The creatures are hatched from eggs and spend the first part of their lives living in water, only taking to the trees when they reach breeding age. Several populations have been identified, all of which are now under threat from poachers.

Fiklabb

The Fiklabb is a strange mutant hybrid between a type of ancient shark and giant Alaskan king crab. The creatures are a result of mutations from illegal toxic waste dumping off the coast of Alaska by private energy companies in collusion with a corrupt governor looking to develop Alaska's protected coastal wildlife areas. Fiklabbs are now blamed for dozens of deaths per year, as the huge claws seem perfectly adapted at plucking the stray fisherman or passenger off of passing watercraft.

Phunguskrabb

Phunguskrabbs are a breed of land dwelling crabs which make their lairs in deep caverns and crevices. Although meat makes up most of the creature's diet, the crab cultivates several different species of fungi upon it's shell, which is feeds upon in times of scarcity.

SlimeSkull

A slimy creature which scavenges through garbage dumps and sewers. Much like some species of crabs utilize shells from other creatures, the SlimeSkull uses human skulls to protect it's soft organs. Colonies of SimeSkulls can be found in any area where people are buried.

Cabecerite

Cabecerites are hideous, shambling, crab demons which pick through the garbage and offal in the lower Hell dimensions. Although they are essentially living garbage disposals, they are also quite intelligent. Their societies contain a rigid and complex social structure, yet despite this they are seen as vermin by the "higher" demons.

Skuttle Claw

A race of fleshy, aquatic bottom dwellers. The name "Skuttle Claw" comes from their crab-like sideways gait. The creatures have no eyes, as there is little light in the ocean depths. Instead Skuttle Claws see by means of echo-location, which is picked up by the red bulbous organs located around the creature's abdomen.

Brachyurlon

The Brachyurlon are multi-limbed, multi-eyed, bipedal sea dwellers. They make their homes in shallow caves in the continental shelf along the American West Coast, enjoying the pleasant weather and abundant fish. They are known to come up on the beach from time to time to search for oysters, kelp, and to buy ice cream. The Brachyurlon are extremely friendly (some would say, annoyingly so) and generally have a very positive outlook on life.

Sckattale the infiltrator

Sckattle is a member of an interstellar mercenary group known as the Paradriod Confederation. His race evolved from tide pool dwelling organisms, and as such he requires a significant rig in order to process planetary atmospheres. Sckattle's specialty is to infiltrate behind enemy lines and espionage, although he is quite capable of holding his own in a fire fight.

Gigakrab

Titanic crabs spawned from dumped radioactive waste, Gigakrabs have taken up residence off of America's east coast. The beasts range in size from 30 to 90 feet across. Nothing less than a 120 mm tank shell can penetrate their exoskeleton. Thankfully the Gigakrabs have shown to be generally harmless, although a few fishing trawlers have been lost.

Cancidialde

Freakish crab mutants spawned from radioactive toxic waste, the Cancidialde inhabit underwater caves off the coast of major population centers. They have been observed domesticating dolphins like cattle and scavenging wreckage from downed ships. They are generally seen as not dangerous, but there is a higher occurrence of missing persons in areas where they have been sighted.

FishyCrab

The FishyCrab is an amphibious land dwelling crab/fish hybrid born from polluted coastal areas. They are voracious eaters, and have been known to decimate coral reefs. An ecological disaster, many countries offer bounties for each one killed.

Brain Crab

Giant brains from beyond the stars that have come to steal our bodies. Hopefully they'll land in a small midwestern town and be spotted by two teenage lovers, so they can try to warn all the grown ups but not be believed, and will end up saving the Earth by somehow exploiting the Brain Crab's one sole weakness that will probably be something so rediculous that it would preclude any chance of them ever evolving.

That's usually how these things play out.

Floppypop

A Bizarre genetic accident involving octopus, crab, sunflower, and onion DNA has resulted in the hideous mutant monstrosity known as the Floppypop. Despite it's freakish appearance it's quite docile, and is quickly being domesticated for meat consumption.

Clown Crab

I just don't know anymore.

Coffee-Supiritto

Another tsukumogami, this one born from a kitchen coffee maker. He's constantly wired, up all night, jittery and nervous. He has automatic brewing functions that no one uses or can even figure out. However much he may splash or overflow he has our loyalty, because we just can't face the morning without him. We salute you.

Crabmite

Crabmites are small, semi-intelligent predatory crab-like beings that inhabit rocky areas along the beach. They have been observed displaying complicated social behaviors, such as nominating leaders through combat, engaging in "war" with other crabmite bands, and keeping "slaves." A crabmite warren is a series of tunnels in which they live (similar to rabbit warrens) and may extend for several miles. Due to thier size they tend to avoid larger animals, however they tend to hunt in highly organized packs and have been observed attacking prey five times thier size.
