A freakish mutation created by deranged science gone wrong. The Chainsaw Frog was created on a drunken dare. The resulting monstrosity ran amok and escaped into the city sewers, and has since become an urban legend, with sporadic reports and the occasional blurry photograph.
Pig Monkeys are bizarre misfits of science, the first step of a misguided experiment of splicing simian and porcine DNA, with the eventual goal to create pigs from which human organs could be harvested. The resulting monstrosity proved to be an ecological disaster, and are actively hunted down and shot on sight.
Radipishes are plants genetically engineered with human DNA. The original goal was to create a plant based form of insulin which could easily be harvested. However the resulting chimera gained a human level awareness. The Radipish were originally heavily exploited and experimented on, but have recently won a landmark court cases which guarantees them equal treatment under the law.
Octodogs are the result of a bizarre garage experiment by a young amateur scientist. Octopus and Dog DNA were recombined in such a way as to form a strange crossbreed. The creature proved to be extremely popular as pets and soon were bred and sold nationwide.
Science student Betsy Bernhard entered a pair of genetically engineered super chickens in her 7th grade science fair, narrowly beating out Jose "Penuthead" Gonzoles and his giant robot ICBM-X for the blue ribbon. Penuthead swore revenge and directed his metal monstrosity to destroy the super chickens. When all hope seemed lost Bernhard unleashed Roosta, a gigantic genetically engineered super rooster. Roosta, ICBM-X, and the super chickens destroyed most of the city in their battle, until both were disqualified. 
The Skivviywik is a bizarre mutant created from the detritus of other experiments. A strange electrical surge into a bio-vat containing a primordial soup of fish, monkey, tube-worm, and mollusk DNA spontaneously generated the strange creature. After an initial period of confusion and violent outburst, the Skivviywik went on to earn a doctorate in theoretical physics and now servers a high position with a government contractor making advanced particle weapons and propulsion systems.
ICBM-X is an artificial intelligence created from the shell of a decommissioned Titan class intercontinental ballistic missile. ICBM-X was created by a Jose "Penuthead" Gonzoles, as his entry into his 7th grade science fair. Although he made it to the final round ICBM-X was passed over for the blue ribbon by Besty Bernhard and her genetically engineered super chickens. In his rage and Jealousy Penuthead reprogrammed ICBM-X to extract a horrible and bloody revenge, but the super chickens would not be defeated so easily. After a raging and horrible battle both ICBM-X and the Super Chickens would be disqualified, with first prize going to Wesley McGillis and his Styrofoam-coathangar solar system model.
Lenny The Labrat was a subject of terrible and painful experiments, kept in a dingy cage, fed substandard food and generally lead a bleak, hopeless existence. Researchers began noticing a strange increase in body mass and intelligence after Lenny was fed an experimental dietary supplement. The growth continued exponentially until Lenny had increased in size by %5500 percent. Lenny escaped the lab, and began taking his revenge on the humans for their terrible mistreatment of him.
Nanoscarabs are minute, techno-organic insects created by scientists to originally for medical reasons. They Necroscrabs have since escaped and evolved thorough several hundred thousand generations into a highly organized artificial insect society with multiple classes. Unlike normal insects, nanoscarabs are capable of reducing any organic matter to base building material within seconds. Thus far all attempts to eliminate the nanoscarab swarm has been unsuccessful.
GlubWarts are miserable, misshapen rejects from a series of scientific experiments designed to give participants superhuman abilities. Many retain the abilities - enhanced strength, speed, vision, hearing, and so on, but with crippling mutations and side-effects. Many have become recluse hermits, and some have even gone insane.
Mudeaters were originally artificially created creatures made by splicing together canine, caterpillar, baboon, and earthworm DNA. The creature has the ability to rapidly tunnel through the Earth, and took to living in large warrens of several dozen individuals. Despite their fierce appearance they are quite harmless, and subsist on a diet of small insects, rodents, and other assorted organic matter which litters the forest floor.
The vile creature known as Professor Foot was born from a freak lab accident. Once a brilliant scientist working towards creating a clean renewable energy source, he now roams the country side, seeking to piece together his lost memory and find a cure to his deformity. The esoteric energies involved in his transformation make him super humanly strong and impervious to most physical dangers, however with each passing day his once brilliant mental capacity diminishes ever more, until one day he'll be nothing more than a mindless brute roaming the wastelands.
Glunnk began his sad existence as a brilliant scientist, searching for an elusive formula to create the next generation of hybrid fuels. A disastrous accident in the lab left him with a body made of formless jelly, unable to hold any more than a vaguely humanoid shape. Ostracized by his family and friends, hunted down by authorities, the poor creature now lives by scavenging food from garbage and hand outs, desperately seeking a way to cure his terrible malady.
Miss Kitty was the favorite pet of a loving family, until a confrontation with the wrong end of an ice cream truck left her in critical condition. Little Billy delved into twisted science, rebuilding his beloved kitty cat into a hideous unstoppable techno-zombie, with unnatural machine enhanced kitty cat strength and speed, able to rip creatures three times it's size limb from limb with ease.
The bizarre mutation known as the Pynomula began life in a petri dish as part of a seventh grade student's science experiment. A mixture of processed animal proteins, salt, and water (i.e. bologna) and several different viruses (obtained from sick friends) were exposed to multiple different varying forms of electric shocks, then ejected into a squirrel zygote. The resulting mutation towered nine feet tall, with a large tentacled insectiod upper half and a bottom stout, smiling lower half. The Pynomula has two brains but share the same skeletal, cirulatory, and central nervous systems. Despite this the two halfs frequently seem to "argue" over which way to go.
The freakish monstrosity that would be known as the Gobbletor began as an experiment by a less than ethical turkey farm to increase profits. Plucked and dressed turkeys were exposed to exotic forms of radiation that increased their size. Soon six foot drumsticks and fifteen foot turkey breasts were produced. However when one of the drumsticks was cooked strange mutations began to occur, and the Gobbletor was born. It quickly escaped from the lab, leaving a trail of carnage in it's wake, and has since gone on to become an urban legend. Gobbletor is frequently sighted in remote wooded areas, and is currently the subject of several documentaries.
The Ubbopiyaegha is a hybrid creature, seemingly possessing the characteristics of mammals, reptiles, crustaceans, and insects to one degree or another. The beast grows between 10 to 30 meters in length and has a very territorial disposition. Most scientists believe this creature is artificial.
