The Great Prophet Returns

After untold centuries of strife and religious war, the Great Prophet finally returns to his people. Riding his mystical birthday Malla'quat, he flies through the stars delivering the faithful from damnation and putting an end to the atrocities committed in his name.

Winged Lion

The Winged lion is a symbol of justice in and righteousness in several ancient middle eastern mythologies. The Shedu and Lamassu of ancient Akkadian myth were seen as protective deities, and were often placed at the gates of cities or the entrances to temples. The winged lion is also used as a symbol for Saint Mark, according to Rev. 4:5-7.

Prufas, great prince of Demons

Prufas is a great prince and Duke of Hell with twenty six legions of demons under his command. He sows discord and falsehoods, and lies, but will answer any question posed to him truthfully.

Lilith, Mother of demons

Lilith began in Mesopotamia as Lilitu, a demon of the night and wind.

In Jewish folklore, Lilith was Adam's first wife. Adam rejects her because she refuses to lie beneath him during intercourse. God casts Lilith out of the garden, and in her jealousy she mates with demons and gives birth to monsters. She is depicted in the old testament as a "night bird" or demon of the night.

In later medieval belief she became a baby-snatching succubus, blamed for infant mortality syndrome. She is often depicted as a normal human being with the feet of a bird of prey. Newborn male children were often adorned with amulets to protect them, as Lilith apparently had no interest in females.

Goleaquaxian

Bipedal humanoid aliens with three eyes and a unique, three lobed brain. Because of their physiology, they have developed a very complicated religious theology, headed by a trinity of gods and a trimunitive church. Branches of the trimunitive can be found on most worlds the Goleaquaxians have had contact with. Religious sects run from the very liberal to the fanatical, but most will band together to face a common threat.

Thasghul, the torturer demon

Large, lumpy, mountains of flesh, the Thasghul serve more powerful demon lords as shock troops, enforcers, and other duties which require brute force. They are particularly skilled at the arts of torture and execution, having long codified the practice into a series of religious rituals.

The Great Prophet

The Great Prophet is the founder of an intergalactic religion so old no one remembers where it began. Eons upon eons ago he spread his message, but what remains is so clouded by time as to be nearly unrecognizable. In reality no one knows who he was or what he really said, and his great teachings which could have brought the universe together are now used to by those in power to divide and conquer.

Mephistopheles

Mephistopheles is one of the seven princes of Hell. He the demon to whom Dr. Faustus sells his soul in the Faust legend. Unlike other demons who actively try to corrupt men, Mephistopheles comes only when summoned by one who is already dammed. In the legend he makes an attempt to warn Faust of the dangers of Hell, but still happily accepts his soul at the conclusion.

Scrapholite

Scrapholites are a race of demons, which grow to around 15-18 feet tall, possess four eyes, a large mouth, and a bent, slooping gait. They are little more than balls of muscle, with a very tough, leathery hide, and two short horns. Scrapholites are extremely tough and strong, and serve as shock troops in Hell's armies.

Gamaliel, the obscene ones

The Gamaliel are in Kabbalistic tradition the loathsome bull-men, "linked together," symbolic of pollution and corruption, subservient to Lilith.

Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies

Beelzebub is the crown prince of Hell. Originally a Semetic Pagan God in his own right, he eventually became associated as the second in command in Hell, leader of the Order of the Fly, subordinate only to Lucifer himself. Beelzebul claims to cause destruction through tyrants, to cause demons to be worshipped among men, to excite priests to lust, to cause jealousies in cities and murders, and to bring on war.

Infernal Toad

Infernal Toads are small, pseudo-demons. They are formed from the mingling of impure demonic blood with native Hellish wildlife. Such creatures often spontaneously generate in the aftermath of Hell's never ending battles. Over hundreds of years Infernal toads may "evolve" into higher demon forms.

Twisted Ones

The Twisted Ones are a clan of imps which have escaped from servitude and have gone "wild." Thousands of years in Hell's oppressive wilderness have warped these creatures into mindless eating machines, which other demons consider little more than vermin. While the development and population of normal Imps are held in check by more powerful demons, these Imps have no such constraints. Every once in a while the conditions will be just right, and the Twisted Ones will suddenly multiply by the millions and swarm over Hell's cities. During such times the multiple factions which are constantly warring for control of Hell will bring a momentary truce to the conflict to suppress the Twisted Ones and exterminate them.

Triplodicus

The Triplodicus are a race of three eyed demons which inhabit some of the lower, darker regions of the pit. The three eyes are especially adapted to seeing in utter darkness. They are generally used as guards, soldiers, and slave masters by Hell's more powerful demons.

Raum, Great Earl of Hell

Raum is a great Earl of Hell. He takes the form of a crow which can transform into human form. He causes rich men to lose their treasure, and can tell the past and future.

Barbatos, Duke of Hell

In demonology, Barbatos is an Earl and Duke of Hell, ruling thirty legions of demons and has four kings as his companions to command his legions. He gives the understanding of the voices of the animals, says past and future, conciliates friends and rulers, and he can lead men to hidden treasures that have been hid by the enchantment of magicians.

Demon

Demons are universal in all cultures and come in many shapes and sizes. In earlier western pagan religions they were seen as agents or messengers of the Gods, and were generally blamed as the causes of accidents, diseases, famines, etc. In later monotheistic religions demons are a convenient scapegoat for the existence of evil, and thus became the enemies of heaven and punishers of mankind. Eastern religions such as Hinduism have a slightly different outlook on demonic entities, while they are still generally "evil," they are depicted as also caught up in the same karmic struggle as ordinary humans are, with their evil as a result of such negative choices.

Rahab

The Rahab is a sea demon mentioned in the book of Isaiah, and is also the guardian angel of Egypt. He was the (fallen) angel of rage and pride, and caused storms.

Mazzikim, the Harmers

In early Judaism, the Mazzikim is a class of demon akin to imps in later belief. They are akin to leprechauns or brownies, more mischievous than evil, and are responsible for ill health and bad fortune. In later medieval belief they became more identified as the traditional demonic figure, spawned from transformed souls of the dead who taunt and torture the recently deceased.
