The Bogeyman
The Bogeyman is a frightening monster invoked by parents world wide to frighten their misbehaving children. He is usually depicted as a beast or ogre of some kind, although the visage of a psychotic old man is also not uncommon. One feature found in the legends of many countries is the large sack he carries, which to kidnap naughty children and take them away.

El Cuco
El Cuco is a ghost-like bogeyman type figure from the folklore of Spain, Portugal, as well as various Latin American countries. He is depicted in multiple different, usually horrifying ways, the most common being a huge troll-like man, covered in hair, with a Jack O'Lantern as a head and carrying a huge sack in which to abduct children.
Parents often warn their children that if they don't behave, El Cuco will come and get them.

They breed by "budding" off smaller Splugglings, who are genetically identical to their parents. They usually feed on rotting matter found in swamps or bogs, like leaves, logs, or animal carcasses.
