Baba Yaga is an ogress and which from Slavic/Russian folklore. In folktales she is depicted as an old hag, who files through the air on a mortar, kidnaps and devours children, and lives in a house which can walk around on giant chicken legs. To enter her house, one must speak the rhyme: "House of brown, now come down!" In most stories she plays the villian, although there are some where she is sought out for her wisdom.
